Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most recognizable and highest-paid actors currently. His movies. As of 2019, his movies have grossed well over $7.2 billion worldwide. Most of his movies are critically acclaimed or big box office hits. Here’s OUR list (not ranking) of his most famous and memorable movies:

1) Blood Diamond (2006) IMDb – 8
Most people forget how great Blood Diamond was. The ring that you’re wearing right now may contain blood on it, the stone of the ring may have been results of extreme violence, and that’s one of the messages of Blood Diamond. Leo’s character, Danny made many bold choices and sacrifices which makes his character more than memorable.

2) Catch Me If You Can (2002) IMDb – 8.1
Catch Me If You Can was a really fun movie. Based on real events, Frank Abagnale Jr., goes around forging checks and scamming people of millions of dollars which leads him to be chased by the FBI. It’s really entertaining, DiCaprio being chased by Tom Hanks, what more do you need?

3) The Departed (2006) IMDb – 8.5
The Departed is memorable not just because of Leo or even the other actors but for it’s story and directing as well. It’s one of the best gangster movie and it would be a crime if we didn’t mentioned The Departed as Leo’s one of the greatest movie.

4) What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (1993) IMDb – 7.8
I think it was this movie that brought Leo’s great and versatile acting talents into the eyes of public. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape is a great movie with Johnny Depp playing the responsible brother of Leo’s character, Arnie and his mother. Arnie is mentally challenged and as a result he constantly needs care and attention.

5) The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) IMDb – 8.2
After the crash of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort starts his own firm with Donnie Azoff cheating people and getting rich illegally while his relationships slip away just as he’s being tailed by the FBI. A 3 hours movie and yet it feels short.

6) Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) IMDb – 7.7
Well, it was either Titanic or this and although Jack was pretty memorable we preferred the struggling has-been star, Rick Dalton. Everything about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was great. It just proves how everything Tarantino makes is something great and entertaining.

7) The Revenant (2015) IMDb – 8
The Oscar winner for Leo came after an amazing performance in The Revenant. I mean, he did fought a bear for it so yeah, he had to win it. Aside the bear, Hugh Glass had to survive his injuries in the freezing cold while the passion for revenge kept him going.

8) Shutter Island (2010) IMDb – 8.2
A really unique and thrilling movie that you need to watch at least twice to fully experience, Shutter Island is an unforgettable movie. Almost everything is you see is nothing in reality and it just makes you question “what was real then?” which is why Shutter Island is a masterpiece and Leo’s character, a mystery.
