7 Best Zombie Movies to binge-watch online


Although not as scary as the paranormal stuff, movies about zombies are entertaining to watch. It can be made into a drama or thriller or horror or plain right comedy. Here’s or list of some of the best zombie movies. These movies are based on the opinion of Cineguff editor.

1) Train To Busan (2016) IMDb – 7.5
A father and his daughter are on their way to Busan. However, the journey turns into a nightmare when they are trapped amidst a zombie outbreak in South Korea. It took the typically stale zombie movie genre and made it incredibly interesting and enjoyable. The idea of a zombie apocalypse taking place on a train it’s something unique.

2) I Am Legend (2007) IMDb – 7.2
Robert Neville, a scientist, is the last human survivor of a plague in the whole of New York. Using his own immune blood, he tries to find the cure to this man-made virus. At times, it’s a scary movie not gonna lie and it’s also a sad movie with one scene in particular heart breaking when Neville is forced to put down his own dog.

3) World War Z (2013) IMDb – 7
It’s hard to make a zombie movie interesting, but like the movies in this list World War Z keeps you hooked till the end. WWZ centers around a former UN investigator with some knowledge about infectious disease, traveling the world, trying to get a fix on the zombie outbreak problem. There were plans to make a sequel of it which would’ve been directed by David Fincher but it hasn’t happened yet.

4) 28 Days Later (2002) IMDb – 7.6
The oldest movie on this list, 28 Days Later did the zombie movie genre the right way. A team of survivors tries to cope with the aftermath of a virus outbreak and find security when the mysterious virus causes chaos in the United Kingdom. With a small budget, 28 Days Later still managed to appeal the audiences and modern zombie movies are made on its formulas.

5) Dawn of the Dead (2004) IMDb – 7.3
A remake of the original, Dawn of the Dead follows a group of survivors who take refuge in a shopping mall to be safe from the flesh eating zombie. While fighting the undead, they must tackle their own problems. The movie is filled with great humor and twists and well, the zombie too.

6) Shaun of the Dead (2004) IMDb – 7.9
Shaun of the Dead is hands down the funniest zombie parody movie ever made. No matter how many times you watch it, it’s still gonna make you laugh. An ordinary salesman’s life goes in a completely different direction when he’s forced to singlehandedly deal with an entire community of zombies.

7) Zombieland (2009) IMDb – 7.6
Continuing with the comedy zombie genre, Zombieland is a great and very entertaining movie. Zombieland is somewhat an “adventure” of a college student who joins forces with three eccentric strangers to survive the zombie apocalypse and travel through southwestern USA to a safe haven. With horror and comedy and romance, Zombieland is sure to entertain you.
