Ending our series of best movies of the decade, here are some of the best movies of 2010s. We didn’t mention obvious movies like Parasite, La La Land, and other renowned movies, instead we’ve focused on other movies of their genre.

1) Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) IMDb – 8.2
After a couple of months, Mildred Hayes convinces herself that the police won’t find the person who raped and murdered her daughter so she protests and challenges the police officials when they fail to capture the culprit. Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell both excelled at their respective performances.

2) Moneyball (2011) IMDb – 7.6
Moneyball is a movie based on real events about how the Oakland Athletics reinvented if not the game of baseball itself, then the game of baseball team management. Billy Beane with the help of Peter Brand creates a team entirely based on a sabermetric model that has never been used before. Will it work or will it not, a question that arises especially when playing against a team who can afford to spend much more money on buying a player.

3) The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) IMDb – 7.3
A man who’s living a fairly ordinary or even dull life keeps dreaming and creating this romantic and action-filled scenario in order to escape from misery. After realizing he might get fired, he sets out on a real romantic and action-packed journey. It’s like Into The Wild but with much more comedy aspects and a happy ending.

4) The Lighthouse (2019) IMDb – 7.6
The Lighthouse is a psychological horror about two fellow lighthouse keepers who try to maintain their sanity level on a remote island. Each person has a different experience after watching it while the majority will be confused as to what just happened. It gets better with each rewatch.

5) Blade Runner 2049 (2017) IMDb – 8
Blade Runner 2049 is a gorgeous movie. Visually speaking, it may have been one of the most beautiful movies of the 2010s. Blade Runner 2049 takes place 30 years after the original film and follows a new blade runner, an LAPD officer named K, who unravels a long-buried secret that could result in war. Ordered to destroy the evidence, K’s journey leads to a confrontation with a long-missing former LAPD blade runner Rick Deckard. Although the movie did badly in the box office, it’s still pretty good nonetheless.

6) Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011) IMDb – 2011
When his wife asks for a divorce, Cal, a middle-aged man decides to change his whole personality with some help from a playboy and starts picking up girls from the bar. The movie is really funny and it has that iconic chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone and not to mention weird dad and husband played by Steve Carell.

7) I Lost My Body (2019) IMDb – 7.6
Out of all the animated movies, I Lost My Body stood way up there. It follows a cut-off hand that’s trying to reach its body. While reaching its body, we’re thrown back and forth into past and present when it was still attached to its body. It’s a really original and unique story.
